The permanent Beverly Pepper exhibition area has opened its doors!
On Saturday 9 April, the permanent exhibition area of Beverly Pepper Projects Foundation opened its doors to the public!
Sitting just next to the main square Piazza del Popolo, our permanent gallery is conveniently located just a few steps away from Beverly Pepper Park – an open-air museum inaugurated in 2019 and consisting in no less than 16 sculptures donated by the artist to the town of Todi. Taking its cue from the Park’s theme, our exhibition area represents a not-to-be-missed opportunity for learning about Pepper’s complex artistic career. The pieces on display make up an outstanding sculpture collection, along with an original selection of drawings and paintings made by the artist before turning to sculpture in 1960 and standing as veritable evidence of her first approach to European culture and society.
Since its establishment, the priority of the Foundation since its establishment has been the enhancement of dynamic cultural settings, starting from Beverly Pepper’s own contribution, in terms of both her public installations and her poetry and inspiration. Thus, the new headquarters is not just a permanent gallery but also a hotbed for recurrent activities devised for visitors of all ages, for schools and institutions.
